President Obama delivered a statement after the vote, calling the “reform” the “right thing to do” for families, seniors, businesses, workers and the future and “another stone firmly laid in the foundation of the American dream.”
“We proved that this government, a government of the people and by the people, still works for the people,” Obama said. “I know this wasn’t an easy vote for a lot of people, but it was the right vote.”
We the people said NO to this health care bill. Some polls said as much as 65% of U.S. said no! The current government isn’t for the people and by the people, it’s for the leftists Socialists and for the destruction of the U.S. as our Founding Fathers intended. I believe George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Paine, and the rest would literally cry if they were to see what has happened to the country that they loved, fought for, and bled for has become. It is shameful that We The People have allowed it to happen through our complacency. I can only hope that it is not to late for the United States. Hopefully some great statesmen will rise to and from this occasions!
